Description

This survivor is the car that won the first East VS West professional slot car racing confrontation that took place in Memphis, TN, in 1967. The car was built by John Cukras and fitted with a Steube modified Mabuchi motor. Driven by John and young Mike Steube, the son of the motor builder, it won the race. The car was then acquired by pro-racing enthusiast and benefactor, Bruce Paschal, and remained with him until donated to the LASCM museum. It is in completely original condition and was sympathetically restored by Philippe de Lespinay.
