Description
Ed “Big Daddy” Roth, the hot rod king, designed two kits for Revell in 1965. Using the molds of the Lotus and BRM models, now molded in bright colors, they featured monstrous characters as drivers. Very popular with collectors, these models were produced in large enough quantities to satisfy a hungry market.
The third picture shows an original artist box sketch from the Revell Company that survived the dumping of most documents when the business was consolidated with the Monogram model kit empire in the late 1970’s.
