Description
In the early days, Gene Wallingford had an apparent affinity for Indianapolis cars as shown by this delightful example of his then-burgeoning art. This fiberglass body patterned after the Quincy Epperly “lay-down” design that won the 1957 and 1958 Indy 500 races is powered by a modified Pittman DC196 motor. The original wheel inserts have unfortunately been lost over time.
