Description
This RTR model of the 1968 Lotus 49B as raced at the Monaco Grand Prix was issued later that year. it features the ultimate version of the Mabuchi FT16D, now with a ball bearing on the pinion side of the can. Not much help there since the drive was from the endbell side, and there, the same old Mabuchi Delrin-plastic endbell was not much help.
This car was factory painted in red and white, with accurate decals supplied, to be customer installed. It is a fairly rare model today but can easily be replicated as parts and replica bodies are available.
The box with a better label is another story…
