Description
The Manta Ray was revised in early 1965, still in its original mechanical form, but now wearing a large Classic shield on its hood.
The chassis was a new pressing featuring the “Classic” trademark now in script, stamped on the drop arm. It was now anodized in a light gray color. The Classic CM250 motor and Dynamic-style guide were retained. New 6-spoke wheels replaced the 3-spoke items from Series 1 cars, using the same tires.
The display tray inside the box was a new “stepped” form. The spare Lotus body received crisper detail. The outer box remained the same.
