Description
One of Classic’s true classics: the Astro-V (pronounced “Astro Five”)had spectacular packaging that made it very attractive to the teenage crowd at the local raceways. Its performance was hampered by its wheel enclosures, rubbing against the tires and causing drag.
This particular kit shows different features: the body is painted metallic pale blue instead of silver, and the tires are now glued and trued red neoprene foam instead of black molded rubber. This is a transitional version, likely one of the last produced by the Classic works in Culver City.
