Description
Marusan’s version of this kit is clearly, as for the Strombecker later version, inspired by the Cox model. The box shows the original Ford GT model before it was found that it was aerodynamically unstable, and before it received multiple aerodynamic bits so as to keep it from becoming airborne at speed. The model is identical to that sold by Atlas in the USA. A second version of the body with more front spoiler material was released, but apparently none ever made it in kits. Auto World sold these modified loose bodies in “Grab Bags” in the early 1970s, and they are scarce today.
