Description
This was the second kit issued in the very successful Russkit “Carrera” series of 1966. The body represents the successful 1965 Chaparral that won 16 of 19 races entered in the United States and the Bahamas that year.
Over 200000 were sold of this model, marketed in standard form with plain-aluminum chassis and a clear body or as in this case, a deluxe form with painted and decaled body and a black-anodized chassis. The Russkit “23” motor was standard for both kits.
Later versions came with sponge tires glued on the wheels and trued. These “series 2” kits alos came with a chassis with a vent hole for the motor and a Russkit “27” motor.
