Description
These home-racing set cars were found inside the Monogram racing sets, but this one is a bit special: indeed the Ferrari was marketed inside a 1966 racing set that also had a Ford GT model, but both had a different chassis and plastic wheels. This aftermarket RTR model has the 1967 chassis and aluminum wheels, and the scarce plastic case. One does not see these everyday!
The model is patterned after the 1965 Le Mans 24-hour winning car, that has a great story in itself, having been driven by three drivers, one of them remaining unknown publicly to this day.
