Description
In 1965, K&B issued four new kits using an American made motor called the “Challenger”. This used a disc-type commutator like an Aurora T-Jet model and had an integral rear axle-gear carrier. The channel-like aluminum frame was an effective front-axle carrier, a drop arm completing the simple system. The aluminum wheels received wire-wheel inserts and the decal sheet included a large decal to cover the nose, albeit in a color that was a bit too pale.
This kit was very successful and easy to find today, while its “Series 2” evolution, issued a year later, is very hard to find.
