Description
Announced at the end of 1966, the 1/24-scale Cox Ford MKII slot car kit was never issued. A variety of hand-built prototype (according to witnesses, a total of eight in various specification), a production box and advertizing literature have survived. One of the prototypes was acquired by the LASCM in 2006 from a former company employee. Another may have survived in restored form in South America.
At the end of the day, the Ford model was replaced in the line by a Chaparral 2D coupe.
