This model train maker got first involved with slot cars by producing a line of HO models partly in collaboration with the Marusan company of Japan. In 1967, the Atlas model train company decided to end their line of slot cars and Faller bought the majority of remaining body kits inventory from them, the rest ending at Auto World in Scranton, PA, USA.
Faller produced kits using the Marusan bodies and when they ran out, made new models of their own, continuing the line well into the 1980s.
