Description

This model, found at auction in 1998, is the only example known to exist of this type. It was found without its original box but in mint condition, with virtually undamaged factory decals. Pactra sold the body separately but with a black interior. The RTR model features a molded white interior with detailed driver, a metallic red body and water-slide decals. The chassis is unique to this model, and the closest design to that of the contemporary “jail-door” professional racing models. While Pactra sold a version of this chassis that had an ISO-fulcrum design with stamped aluminum drop arm, this has a brass drop arm conventionally hinged from behind the motor. The wheels and tires are also specific to this model, and this is the only known Pactra car to use the 1968 Mabuchi FT16BB motor, with endbell-side drive. All in all a bit of a mystery and possibly a factory prototype, but found in the hands of a private seller who had no clue of where it came from.
A picture of the production IFC chassis is shown for comparison.
