Description
This 1966 Vette was built from an AMT kit that also included the special body mounts to assemble the completed kit to a standard AMT chassis. This example was expertly built by Bill Wessels of St Louis, MO, for the LASCM.
AMT issued several of their 1966 static kits with such options, and also marketed complete chassis kits (no body included) including specific body mounts for another four models. These kits, now very scarce, also included a vacuum formed white-styrene cockpit with an injection-molded helmeted driver head in the body color of the kit.
