Description
This rare item is a pre-production RTR 1964 Novi-Ferguson Indy car sent to a retailer before the actual production began. The accompanying letter is authored and signed by Alban Adams, president and owner of the MRRC company. The full-size car color was day-glow red as it was driven by Bobby Unser under the STP sponsorship. Bobby crashed it early in the race.
MRRC issued this car in kit and RTR form, the kit being marketed in two forms, with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The later is scarcer.
