Description
This was Tamiya’s first slot car product. Issued in 1965, this kit is a bit scarce. This model represented the D-type short-nose as raced at Le Mans in 1957, with the wider windshield. There are minor variations depending of when these kits were issued in a short span of two years.
The kit box is common to all variations, save for the Japanese/English printing on some, all English writing on others. The model was molded in green or white.
The decals were the same for all variations.
