The second model of the second series of Champion RTR was this 1966 Honda 3-liter F1 of which the body was sourced from Lancer, later from Russkit. The chassis was a beautiful brass and steel affair manufactured by Aoyagi Metals (AYK) in Japan for Champion. Two versions exist, the first being nickel plated, the later being gold zinc plated. The motor was a stock “601” or a rewound “607” at extra cost, now in a nickel plated Mabuchi FT26 case with a ballrace can bearing. Tires are black neoprene sponge.
