Founded in 1964 by businessman Jim Williams, Champion was one of the few survivors of the 1968 demise of the hobby. The reason? Champion specialized into functional racing products instead of flashy ones. Champion cars and parts are not rare but condition varies greatly, determining desirability and value. Their most famous product is their Mecom-Lola GT RTR, powered by the famous “707” rewound motor, examples of which set new endurance records still unbeaten today.
