1964 Cobra Daytona kit

This kit was the result of an alliance between Veco, a manufacturer of model airplane parts, and Auto-Hobbies, the company managed by hobby pioneer Bill Sippel. It was designed by Dick Dobson who moved to California from Illinois for this purpose. It was issued in early 1966 and included parts to assemble either a 1964 or 1965 Cobra coupe. The brass pan-style chassis received a Russkit "22" motor. This very popular kit was followed by a body kit sold inside a small white and blue box. Thousands of these body kits survived after the hobby collapse in 1968 and were marketed over the years. Correct chassis are more difficult to find.
